To an extent, Jeffery is right. But I have had a friend complaining about issues with the camera because of problems with the firmware. Like all other devices, even digital cameras have firmware (software within the camera) and if this firmware has any bugs, issues would come up with the use of the camera. I would advise all users having digital camera issues to check for firmware updates.

The majority of all digital camera related issues have nothing to do with the physical camera. I can safely say that installing proper drivers, formatting the memory card of the camera once and scanning the system for viruses would resolve most issues. If the connecting hardware is at fault, then it would have to be replaced, no matter what!

Software issue impeding photo transfer
Was going through the issues arising while using digital cameras and saw one that I had actually experienced myself; I have a digital camera that I have been using for nearly three years now. I had always been transferring photos from my camera to my system but once the photos in my camera just refused to move to my system. It was actually a software issue. I had updated my operating system but the drivers had not been updated. I finally got my problem solved by availing myself of the services offered by a tech support company.

Camera trouble!!
Last month I bought a digital camera after much research. I bought a very expensive one and it worked well till yesterday. When I connect it to my computer, the system does not detect the device and I cannot copy any photos or videos to create a disk. The space on my camera is getting filled up and I need to copy my data I even tried restarting the system and the camera but no luck!!. A friend of mine suggested I reinstall the drivers and to my luck it fixed the problem. Anyone having similar issues please reinstall the camera drivers (provided in the installation disk that came with the camera)

Didn't know that cameras too needed a driver!
I had bought my first new digital camera and was pretty excited about using it. There was a party at my office and I had taken pictures of it, promising my colleagues that I would mail the snaps to all of them. I got home and started connecting the camera to my computer as instructed in the manual.. the computer would simply not detect it!! Finally I approached an online tech support company for help, the installed the requisite drivers in my system and it recognized the camera instantly. lesson learnt every electronic gadget needs their respective drivers to work on a computer..

Successful transfer from the digital camera!
Being technically challenged is something that I regret the most. For me it is impossible to deal with such stuff or use it without getting a glitch. My son had gifted me a digital camera on Christmas and so one day I thought of using it. After clicking the pictures, I wanted to transfer them to mail it to my son. I thought it best to check out for the procedure online before I did anything on my own. I happened to come across the website of iYogi, from which I got the directions for transferring the images.
I am delighted with the service Support Dock powered by iYogi has given me. The PC is working perfectly now. This Application is surely a one stop solution for day to day PC problems.

Hi Daniel, you're right. One day, I was not able to take pictures on my camera. I tried a lot to find out the solution. But, I can't. Then, I went to the tech support, he told me that the firmware has to be updated. He did the updation. Now, my camera is working properly.
